The organic grocery store where I buy a lot of my produce sells amaranth grain. I grew a container of it out on﻿ my deck garden. 
I may not have a back yard to grow a garden but at least my condo is paid off (as of 2 weeks ago).</description>

The thing to do is when you evaluate varieties look to see if they are considered a vegetable, ornamental or grain﻿ variety.   All are actually edible both plant and grain but some are better for certain uses than others.</description>
