still harvesting tomatoes

I never would have guessed that I’d still be harvesting cherry tomatoes from my EarthTainer in January! I picked an overflowing handfull tonight for a couple of salads, and there are still that many out there ripening.
This garden exemplifies Permaculture in an urban setting. 1/2 acre with established fruit trees, berry bushes, veggie gardens, perennial and herbs, composting system, and many establishing gardens. Harvest and food storage and preservation are also in this part 2. It’s lo-fi, but I hope that you like it. check us out: gorgeousandedible.com

Ricetta:
- un sacco di granaglie per casa
- un po’ di cartine stampate
- taglierino
- colla
Recipe:
- a lot of cereals scattered around
- some printed maps
- a sharp knife
- glue
- a really patient Mauri doing the catcher of the rye around the house
- a trusted nikon
- a friend wiz of photoshop (thanks Paolo!)
- a good idea for the title (cheers Enrico! and fra too!)
- a lot of time I was supposed to spend doing some real work…
and…done! easy peasy. Almost.
(i know, i should have it done in photoshop all the way thru, from the very beginning. But play with real cereals is a lot more fun! and i can hope, if we have a rainy spring in my house, for a good harvest under my sofa, before the summer)
